If senior citizens, midwives and LPG suppliers believe they should have seats in Congress, then all the more for electricity consumers. Not just one, or two, but possibly four seats.

And it goes beyond switching the lights on when we go home or powering the machines to manufacture goods. There is a need to ensure power supply. There is a need to maintain the least cost electricity. There is a need to address developments in the power industry that tend to decimate or capitulate electric cooperatives and make them irrelevant.

Hindi maipagkakaila ang nagawa ng PHILRECA sa mga isyung nabanggit. Kasama ang APEC, ang PHILRECA ay ilang beses tumayo sa House of Representatives upang ipaglaban ang kapakanan ng mga electric cooperatives at punahin and mga polisiya na hindi makatarungan para sa kanila.
